NOT A POLITICIAN – A BAD MATHEMATICIAN – AND NOW ... EVEN A TERRIBLE LAWYER! Adrian Delia is a mess

Right at the onset Dr Adrian Delia admitted to “not being” a politician; during the past week he revealed himself as a bad mathematician with a gross 100% miscalculation that meant the difference between €200 million and €100 million ... and therefore not a matter of a few cents.

However, more disconcertingly he has now revealed he is also a terrible lawyer with a piece of his own “logic” that is disconcerting, disturbing and highly dangerous to any kind of Rule of Law.

Picture the scenario: a man stands in Court charged with having murdered two people during the course of an armed robbery; the man has maintained all along and continues to maintain he is totally innocent; as the Prosecutor, Adrian Delia continues to press his case, describing how the man committed the murders and the robbery.

Not able to withstand the accusations any longer, the man jumps up and says “listen, I repeat again I did not carry out the robbery and I did not kill anybody; in any case had it been me, I would not have killed the two men because as you described it I would have only killed one because the other person was incidental and not involved”.

Up jumps Dr Delia and with a shout of triumph yells “that’s it! You have just admitted to murder – ok not two persons but one. You are therefore obviously guilty of murder. I rest my case”.

What a terrible, distorted, stunted sense of logic. Thank God that Adrian Delia is not a Magistrate or a Judge, or even more disconcertingly the Chief Judge – let alone the Advocate General!

No wonder that even a joke two-penny organisation like Occupy Justice informed him last week they wanted to have nothing to do with him.

So for our qualified, graduated lawyer, if I as much as say “it should have been done this way and not that way” that is tantamount to an admission of guilt and I am obviously guilty.

May I ask which Law School or University stacked him with this knowledge and wisdom? It is literally frightening.

Even worse followed; on this scenario he built a fantasy picture of homeless people without a roof, 70,000 persons starving to death and a load of other macabre nonsense when all the facts and figures clearly show otherwise.

As he was delivering these messages of doom and a country sinking by the minute with an “invasion” of 15,000 foreign workers annually (when the PM just said that a FURTHER 15,000 may be needed to continue all the work that has been created), the GRTU came out with a telling statement.

Retail sales during Black Friday this year were 25% above last year’s sales on the same day (is this commensurate to the country being poverty-stricken?). Simultaneously, the EU Commission through Eurostat continues to publish almost daily Malta’s continued economic successes with forecasts that this is due to continue.

Indeed Dr Delia, you are not a politician, you are a bad mathematician and now so sad to see you are also a terrible lawyer.
