PN … AN OPPOSITION OF DROWNING MEN DESPERATELY CLUTCHING AT STRAWS – insinuations, inventions and al

For a political party packed with lawyers (I was going to say “eminent lawyers” but then I remembered this would include people like Simon Busuttil, Jason Azzopardi, Karol Aquilina, Adrian Delia etc and thought better of it) they have a very, very poor grasp of legalities and in particular the Rule of Law.

As lawyer Franco Debono (for better or for worse) has often pointed out, the basic start to any kind of Rule of Law is the presumption of innocence before being decisively proven to be guilty.

However, this basic, first-step concept has been stretched ad nauseum like a piece of chewing gum – lengthened when profitable, shortened when appropriate.

If a Court of Law or an institution finds AGAINST the political interests of the PN, it is because corruption is rife, two or three men in Castile are ruling Malta and its institutions and the “excellent reputation of Malta during 25 years of Government” (always according to Adrian Delia), is being besmirched.

If a decision is favourable, then it is because the PN is always right and can never do wrong.

These tentacles of evil have been stretched to cover the “human right” that one should be able to choose investigating policemen, Magistrates and Judges presiding and if necessary the hearing Jury.

As for lawyer Franco Debono, the PN judged him to be too big for his boots, pushy and an upstart with a common surname coming from a village down south, so he had to be sidelined and finally pushed out because to be in the PN forefront you have to have pedigree and conform to the edicts of wisdom like Daphne Caruana Galizia, the Fenech Adami clan, the Simon Busuttil clique etc.

Posing as an “alternative” with a promised “new way”, Adrian Delia found favour with the Party rank-and-file which became totally disoriented by two colossal electoral catastrophic landslides under Simon Busuttil. Since then, his life has been made a hell-on-earth for Delia who has been mercilessly ground down to forget his “new way” and continue in the “old way” – blow trumpets when in Government, destruct everything when debacled by the electorate.

The PN has become a sinking ship that has already submerged below the surface. Like drowning men they clutch at every straw possible in an attempt to save face.

The latest has been provided by 17 Black as the final last straw because even efforts to dirty Malta beyond its shores have been shot down with successive EU Delegations taking the opportunity to enjoy a Malta holiday break having come, investigated, found nothing and gone away again empty-handed.

Enter 17 Black into the scene and exit the Rule of Law and exit the presumption of innocence unless being conclusively proven to be guilty.

Because Daphne Caruana Galizia followed by the so-called “Daphne Report” and now bolstered by Reuters (who is their Malta correspondent?) and “The Times of Malta” have “revealed” the owner of 17 Black is Maltese, this means an automatic death sentence has to be passed on Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri.

Never mind the lack of proof, never mind that everything is being based on suppositions, hearsay, because so-and-so wrote so, possibilities, probabilities and everything else imaginable, this is the Rule of Law PN style.

In the past, when it was still active, I used to work in an office in Strait Street. Every morning prostitutes, pimps, brothel owners etc exchanged greetings with me and we often had friendly chats.

Therefore quite obviously, I am a man who encourages prostitution, pimping and brothel-keeping and to stretch it even further I am living on the proceeds of prostitution and pimping and I must surely have a share in one of the brothels and I should have been imprisoned long, long ago.

That is the Rule of Law PN style.
