WHEN YOU THINK YOU’VE SEEN AND HEARD IT ALL – once more you become astonished and astounded

… And when you think you’ve seen and heard it all … another blockhead comes out of the woods of delirium. This time it’s one Ms Susanna Ceccardi, an Italian lady who is said to be the Mayor of Cascina in Tuscany and a representative of Lega Nord who is apparently in Malta “to learn English”.

She said, "Walking around this island's streets, you won't see a single migrant. I've been here one day now and people I spoke to here tell me you won't see any migrants, simply because Europe has emptied the barrel of migration onto Italy."

One remains dumbfounded, astonished and astounded. It’s like going to South Africa and then saying “white people … I don’t see any white people here!”

The British Admiral Lord Nelson was blind in one eye. When his fleet superior during battle action once ran up a flag signal that Nelson was to desist from any further action, when informed, Nelson put his telescope to his blind eye and merrily said “signal … I see no signal” and thus carried on with the action and eventual victory.

We are now regaled with his 2018 contemporary … Ms Susanna Ceccardi!

It is all very worrying, not just in this particular instance. The worry is that during recent months we have seen the emergence of a plethora of blockheads making all sorts of equally astonishing statements that leave one dumb and speechless.

Trying to track them all is a virtual impossibility and would take up not one Blog but a whole year of Blogs if one were to go into all of them.

Earlier in the week we once more experienced an overwhelming number of similarities from equally resounding blockheads.

Step forward a group calling themselves “Il-Kenniesa”, which in my dictionary reads “road sweepers” and which these are actually very far from being because their main preoccupation seems to be that of not cleaning our streets and roads but actually dirtying them with cheap cardboard posters asking all sorts of stupid questions.

Their group name is an enigma unto itself, a group which appears to me to be made up by a lot of time-wasting women with nothing better to do then vent their psychological frustrations on the public, with the backing of a few male hangers on hoping to make political capital out of their weaknesses.

The gist of their questions is “who was behind the killing of Daphne Caruana Galizia?” Incredible, considering the ongoing compilation of her three alleged killers is taking place. They want to know the ending before even the start has been completed!

It’s as if they expect a magician to appear, pull a name out of a magic hat and say “it was so-and-so”.

The Russian Leon Trotsky was pick-axed to death almost 80 years ago. Who had him murdered, and why? The world is still asking questions although it has always been suspected that the man behind it all was Soviet dictator Josef Stalin who viewed him as great rival to his dictatorship.

The US President John Kennedy was shot dead and murdered on the streets of Dallas 55 years ago. Who actually killed him and why? The world is still asking questions. Was it the US-Italo Mafia; The Soviets; Fidel Castro’s Cubans?

Yes, 55 years have passed but the world is none the wiser despite the enormous US spy and intelligence network, despite all technology and despite all information.

However, as our “Kenniesa” are endowed with powers of super-intelligence, they want answers – and they want them now and because they don’t have them, the crux of their blame lies in their continuation to vilify Joseph Muscat, Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi while also trying to pin something on Chris Cardona – simultaneously trying to distort the course of justice to try and provide an answer that will fit in with their political cravings.

Who killed Karen Grech and why? Who killed Raymond Caruana and why? Why was Hugo Chetcuti murdered last week?

For our “Kenniesa” none of all these others are important. Their only importance is reserved for their wish that the murder of Caruana Galizia fits their political bill.

So, as I said, once you think you’ve heard and seen it all, the next blockhead will appear out of somewhere and continue to try to impress us with their wisdom.
