“The Christians of the Middle East are telling us we are crazy welcoming so many migrants and so man

The late Libyan Leader Colonel Mu’Ammar Gaddaffi always had two tricks up his sleeve. The first was oil, desperately needed by the West. The second was not so much needed but was his ultimate threat – unless things went his way, at a moment’s notice he could unleash hundreds of thousands of Muslim immigrants to invade Europe.

Well, he did not live long enough to realise his second threat – but it has been satisfied for him. However, the basis of this realisation is not primarily that of converting the whole of Europe to Islam but a lust for money and riches being milked out of human trafficking.

Currently under the spotlight are NGOs and their claims of being instrumental in carrying out humanitarian missions. Others see them aiding and abetting the human traffic chain. Libyan criminal pirates and their immigrant victims know that NGO ships are at hand to carry out rescues – so they continue plying their trade.

If word gets round that there will no longer be these NGO vessels but military ships turning them back into Libyan waters – would the trade persist...?

Meanwhile, with nothing concrete being done and with the EU and the UN moaning, groaning and wringing its hands in desperation, Europe has been invaded by hundreds of thousands of immigrants – mainly of the Muslim faith.

The threat to Europe, to the world, is not that of people seeking refuge and hoping for a better life but that of extreme Islam, people for whom democracy means nothing at all and whose only belief is in themselves carrying out what they perceive to be “a mission”.

Well worth investigating, studying and learning from their experiences are the views of Christians who were born in and lived in Muslim countries.

In Syria and Iraq, whole Christian communities have been persecuted and eventually either wiped out and murdered or have been forced to flee and leave the country of their birth. In Egypt, Christian churches are ransacked and burnt down. In many other Muslim countries, Christians have no standing and no rights - under continual persecution.

However, for the world, that does not seem to be of any consequence – after all, they are only Christians. Virtually, NOTHING has been done to help these poor people.

The situation of Christians in Muslim countries has become so desperate that French scholar Marc Fromager, who has been studying the Middle East and its Christian communities for the last 20 years did not mince his words when he said:

“We have to really underline the discrimination and specific persecution of Christians. It seems they don’t have where to live and that is why a lot had to flee. The question is ‘ is there a future of them remaining in the Middle East?’.”

In his opinion too, the intervention of countries like the United States, Britain and France in Middle East situations has resulted in more damage and instability and has helped to enflame Islamic fanaticism to the detriment of Christian communities who have had to suffer the backlash.

Fromager, who was in Malta during the week, also voiced the opinion of Middle East Christians thus:

“The Christians of the Middle East are telling us we are crazy welcoming so many migrants and so many of them being Muslims, and that what we are experiencing now you shall be experiencing in the future. As soon as Muslims obtain a big proportion, even if in minority, it has an impact on the whole society”.

The clarity of this message has already been experienced and is being experienced. Muslim communities in Christian countries have demanded all sorts of things – the removal of crucifixes, the elimination of pork from menus, the removal of Christmas and other Christian feasts and a hundred and one other things.

In short, although Christians in their countries have no standing and no rights, a Muslim in a Christian country has a right to demand exactly what suits him or her (mostly him because in the beliefs of many, women remain a mere non-entity). Many want the application of Sharia Law and the persecution of gays and lesbians.

Some may counter this and make a distinction between “good, democratic Muslims” and “extreme fanatical Muslims”.

The problem is that the “good” and the “democratic” have to tow the lines laid down by the fanatical because otherwise they endanger themselves as a result of reprisals and vengeance for failing to tow.

I have long advocated that the only immigrants to be accepted are Christians fleeing from persecution. All others are in Europe WITHOUT justification, fleeing from systems which on arrival they start creating and inflicting on others.
