TRAITORS GALLERY – how to damage your own country – Simon Busuttil and Rosette Thake now rivaling Da
Scum is a strong word – and I have no apologies for using it in this context. The Concise Oxford Dictionary gives a definition of the word “scum” as being “impurities that rise to the surface”.
It is a fitting and exact description of people like David Casa, Simon Busuttil, Rosette Thake and a number of others – an impurity, a stain on Malta, its history and its people.
Being critical of your own country IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY is understandable, justified and in fact desirable in a democracy. However, the criticism has to be justly founded, constructive and aimed at suggesting means of putting right what you deem is wrong.
What is NOT understandable, justified, desirable and acceptable is that you travel to foreign countries to damage and stain and dirty your own country. To do that, you have to be impure scum. It is also highly treacherous and irresponsible that by doing so you are putting in peril the economic future of your own country.
Treachery is not new territory for a Nationalist Party clique that – like Royalty – believe they are born and thus destined to lead and rule. This was always the arrogance reflected by Daphne Caruana Galizia in her mainly vindictive writing.
In the 1980s, yes, there was a quirk General Election result that did not reflect the real wishes of the people. However, it went according to the Electoral Process which the PN accepted otherwise they would NOT have contested. It is also a situation that is highly prevalent in other democratic countries. Hillary Clinton polled more personal votes than Donald Trump, but Trump won the Presidency of the US.
Under the British electoral process it has often happened that the Party which polled more votes ends up in Opposition – because of the way the British electoral system is styled. They know it and they accept it because they have never accepted a proportional system such as we have here.
Instead of trying to correct the system nationally, in the 1980s the PN then gallivanted throughout Europe bad-mouthing and damaging their own country and, naturally, they are doing the same again.
Now, we have experienced the latest in treachery. Former DCG parrot Simon Busuttil, accompanied by his loving partner, and former PN Secretary General Rosette Thake actually organised a group of female parrots from the so-called “Occupy Justice” to travel to Brussels and spout their regurgitated vomit there.
This, regardless of the fact that the electorate dumped both of them into the dustbin of history after two colossal electoral defeats, the greatest-ever in Malta’s electoral history, followed by further degradation and humiliation when they were discarded by their very own Party.
At the back of the Brussels “Occupy Justice” treachery was the despicable traitor David Casa, a crawling worm who organised all the meetings and addressed most of the meetings himself.
Unfortunately, scum is far too mild a word to describe the depths of treachery these people are prepared to plunge down into.
They are a dirty, vicious and vile stain blemishing the Maltese nation while doing their best to ruin Malta and its hard-working people.
