MAFIA OMERTA REIGNS IN THE PN – are they really anxious to establish the truth, the whole truth and
Regretfully and with a feeling of very deep dismay I am slowly but surely being dragged into the PN style of thinking that the Rule of Law DOES NOT EXIST in Malta and that the Police are doing virtually nothing.
Why?
I ask the following questions:
Why has nobody yet been arrested for failing to provide the latest laptop that Daphne Caruana Galizia was using to the Malta Police, or Europol, or the FBI?
Surely this laptop may probably be the ultimate clue to what led to her being murdered. Therefore its concealment is DIRECTLY obstructing the Rule of Law and carries the criminal offence of DIRECTLY withholding evidence in a criminal case of murder?
Why have no raids been carried out under a Magistrate’s Warrant of Search to secure the laptop and those refusing to reveal its whereabouts being arrested for concealing important evidence?
Why has nobody ever been arrested for piling all sorts of rubbish on a National Monument?
Why has nobody been arrested for the illegal plastering of slogans on Government property?
Why has Simon Busuttil’s partner not been arrested for supplying the vehicle that was instrumental to these slogans being plastered illegally?
Why is absolutely NOTHING happening in the investigations concerning oil commissions, a saga that has been ongoing for almost six years now without any tangible results?
Are not all these tantamount to a deterioration of the Rule of Law and mark a certain Police inactivity to act appropriately?
In the meanwhile, it is my opinion that many things happening in Court and many things happening outside Court and in Parliament seem directly aimed at ENSURING gross delays and further ensuring that justice WILL NOT be done as it should be done – that is, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
Let us take yesterday’s case of Dr Peter Caruana Galizia who in Court maintained he could not clearly remember what his late wife had written about certain allegations regarding Konrad Mizzi.
Her Blog is still in place and all he has to do is re-read them as any decent witness would do before appearing in Court so as to be fully informed. Failing that, he could check out her laptops.
Yet no – his pitiful defence is to plead that his wife is now dead and people still want to bleed him for money and that he expects them to drop all libel cases.
So, this man cannot remember what his wife wrote about Chris Cardona and Konrad Mizzi and many others – when all the world knows and even those living on the moon know as a result of the damage that has been spread by the Caruana Galizia family and their PN cronies.
Great, so in a few words everybody remains as they are and people like Keith Schembri, Konrad Mizzi, Chris Cardona and many others have to continue to carry the stains of allegations against their character without their having any regress.
That’s a great Rule of Law indeed!
His other shameful bleating, together with that of his unpleasant son Matthew, is that the authorities should investigate the Prime Minister’s laptop rather than that of DCG – an attempt to once more take the whole matter into a political arena.
Keith Schembri was fully prepared yesterday to appear in Court to give his testimony, but as a result of a new case instituted by Simon Busuttil and David Casa BEFORE the same Magistrate prevented him from giving evidence. Once more this is just another piece of obstruction to prolong and delay in achieving the truth.
Days earlier Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi spoke in Parliament words that repeated outside Parliamentary Privilege would have been classed as being sub judice and were interpreted to be aimed at disrupting the criminal compilation of the three people being accused of DCG’s murder.
So – why all this delay, concealment, disruption and procrastination being constantly introduced to prevent the real truth emerging and to sustain their accusations of a political murder WHEN ALL THE FACTS are pointing to the great probability of a criminal murder in the light of oil smuggling contraband that was turning over millions of euros annually?
This is nothing more than MAFIA OMERTA to prevent the establishment of the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
