THE ROTTEN CORE VALUE OF THE PN – devious minds and devious hearts

If there is one single episode that fully illustrates the rotten core value embedded in the embittered hearts of the Nationalist Party it has been the evil furor they created and generated following the donation of €5 million to the most noble and most noteworthy and direly needed of causes – Puttinu Cares.

The outpouring of venom was so pungent, it caught many by surprise. Their bitterness and hate for all the benefits this Government is providing – something which they were unable to do over 25 their wasted years – poured out like liquid vitriol.

The furor centred around the Prime Minister’s announcement on the programme “Xarabank” that €5 million is to be donated to Puttinu Cares from the Economic and Social Development Fund that has resulted from the Citizenship Investment Scheme.

This is a Scheme they have continually and relentlessly attacked, even though it has been approved by the EU and even though it is used by a number of countries worldwide, including EU Member States.

Scorn and derision was heaped on the donation by PN “beacons of wisdom” like Simon Busuttil, Jason Azzopardi and Beppe’ Fenech Adami – well-renowned for their bitter malice against the Government and the Labour Party in general. This in turn gave the opportunity for the political cleric Father Joe Borg to vent his own disgusting spleen against the Government.

There are just two words to describe this outburst – “simply disgraceful”. The scope behind the outburst – to pour dirt and bile on the Government – totally disregarding the benefit this donation will provide the Puttinu Cares fund with.

Fair enough, they do not agree with the Scheme and they have every right to do so. HOWEVER, there are ways and ways of being critical.

A Scheme dissident with a sane and logical mind would have written: “Although I categorically do not agree with the Citizenship Scheme and will continue to oppose it, I do however welcome the €5 million donation to Puttinu as this will enable them to purchase a block of apartments in Central London to be used by those requiring serious medical attention in London hospitals, as well as providing accommodation for relatives accompanying them”.

But no, not for our kind-hearted Robin Hoods who are nothing more than paragons of evil. Who cares about the needs of Puttinu Cares and seriously ill patients when one can pounce on an opportunity to attack the Government?

Their disgusting diarhorretic outburst was naturally applauded by some equally-evil minded PN supporters who are now calling for a boycott of Xarabank because the PM was enabled to make this donation.

Now, I DO NOT like Xarabank and never have done. When the programme is used to help generate donations for a charitable cause, then that is a different matter.

I reiterate again, the outburst and conduct of this band of evil minds was simply disgraceful.
